Buffels edge Sasol in thrilling friendly ahead of semi-finals

Bethal Buffels’ second team will take on Malelane, while the first team hosts Lydenburg Rooikat Rugby Club in the Mpumalanga Premier League semi-finals at Hoërskool Hoogenhout on July 18.

Bethal Buffels Rugby Club and Sasol Secunda Rugby Club’s first and second teams faced off in friendly matches at Hoërskool Hoogenhout on July 11.

Sasol Secunda’s second team dominated the Buffels, securing a convincing 38-19 victory.

The home side responded in the first-team encounter, with Bethal Buffels claiming a hard-fought 33-29 win over Sasol Secunda.

Divan van Jaarveld and Philani Nkosi were named the respective men of the match. Attention now turns to the semi-finals this Saturday, July 18.
