Ivann van Wyk from Standerton, among others, provided the necessary support with Ivann in particular, concentrating on his posing and diet.

“I drink five to seven litres of water daily,” Fire said.

He arrived in town all the way from Duduza, a township west from Nigel, to study electrical engineering at the college.

Fire began to gym with friends in the backyard, but things got serious when he began concentrating on bodybuilding in 2013 when he joined The Body Workshop and he now enjoys the fruit of his labour.

“Bodybuilding refreshes my mind,” he added.

It has also fuelled him to mentor other people into this lifestyle. He believes fitness is not a seasonal hobby, but a lifestyle.

“This is just the beginning, the best is yet to come,” Fire concluded with an old adage.
