The Sasol Juventus Ladies FC suffered a 2-0 home defeat to Coal City FC of eMalahleni in their South African National Women’s League match played at the eMbalenhle Sasol Club recently.
Both teams displayed determination throughout the encounter, with Juventus aiming to secure a crucial home victory.
However, Coal City FC proved more aggressive in attack, creating numerous scoring opportunities and capitalising on their chances to find the back of the net twice.
Despite Juventus’ spirited performance and efforts to fight back, they were unable to break down the visitors’ defence, allowing Coal City FC to walk away with all three points.
Meanwhile, in the Sasol Govan Mbeki Local Football League, Mpumalanga Rising Stars FC’s U17 men’s team produced an impressive performance to defeat Emba Stars FC 4-2 at the eMbalenhle Sasol Club on the same day.
Rising Stars dominated large periods of the match with their attacking play and clinical finishing, scoring four goals to secure a well-deserved victory.
Emba Stars managed to score twice but were unable to contain their opponents, who sealed an entertaining 4-2 win.
