The Dominator Doyle from Secunda to face international opponent

After a brain operation Cedric “The Dominator” Doyle is still at it. Nothing can keep him from getting back into the cage and face his toughest international opponent yet.

SECUNDA – Cedric ‘The Dominator’ Doyle (35) will have the chance to represent Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) on the highest level.

This will be one of his toughest international opponents Doyle will face on Saturday, 7 December at Sibaya Casino in Durban.

Doyle will tackle Tariq ‘Desert Storm’ Ismail from Toronto, Canada at the Brave 31 Combat Federation tournament.

Ismail is like Doyle, a professional featherweight MMA athlete.

Doyle praised his opponent and is looking forward to this fight.

Brave Combat Federation phoned Doyle 18 days before 7 December to ask if he would accept the challenge.

“It was 10 years of hard work in MMA that was realised in 18 days’ notice,” said Doyle.

He had a brain operation in 2016 after they found that he had bleeding on the brain due to a previous fight.

“I want to thank the Lord Almighty for healing me completely.

“I also thank Him for giving me the talent to take part in MMA and to make a professional career of it.”

After his operation, his family did not want him to fight again, but in spite of it all, his wife, parents and parents-in-law still support him.

He met his wife Ilse in high school.

“While in high school, my wife always kept me from fighting and now she is ‘forced’ to support me fighting,” Doyle said laughing.

“To work full-time and also chase your dream of being a professional fighter, is very tough. Ilse supported me throughout and still does.”

He thanks his wife, kids and family for their support.

“Without the Dominator Den boys I would not have been able to train properly. I thank everyone who has been fighting and keeping fit for the past three years.”

Dominators Den has built a strong team of fighters and they were able to assist Doyle with his drills and to practice different fight techniques.

“You only have one shot at life and I thank God for blessing me with the fire in my heart.

“I believe that you have to do what sets your heart on fire.”

Doyle has trained hard for his upcoming fight and is very excited.

“I feel positive and thank everyone for their support.”

The fight will be streamed live through Brave TV at: https://www.bravecftv.com/.
