Boxers from Secunda to fight against GBV at a big Johannesburg event
The event is a tribute to women and girls and aims to create awareness about gender-based violence.

Three fighters from Graceland Boxing Academy will take a stance against gender-based violence by participating in a white-collar boxing event called “Seconds Out” in Johannesburg this Saturday, August 28.
Ivan Bothma, Smanga Memela and Martinus Badenhorst will travel to Parktown North to join the Roy Jones Junior and Jody Solomon Boxing, along with Truth & Reconciliation Conversations and King Africa Radio TV.
The event is a tribute to women and girls and aims to create awareness about gender-based violence.
It is also an opportunity for prospective boxers to get a feel for what it is like to compete in the ring.
There will be 18 boxers fighting on Saturday. These are fighters from Roy Jones Junior and Jody Solomon Boxing, Graceland Boxing Academy, Apex Boxing and Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu Club, Rocky’s Boxing Club and Fight Sports Centre.
