The Standerton Sables triumphed over the Emalahleni Eagles on May 10 in their first home game for the Mayor League.
The game was off to a rough start for the Sables when the Eagles scored their first try seven minutes into the game.
The Sables did not stand for this and quickly carried the ball over the try line.
By halftime, the score stood at 28-21 in favour of the Eagles.
This did not discourage the Sables, as they scored three tries in quick succession.
The Sables were victorious by 49-42.
The players who scored tries for the team are Reghardt van der Westhuizen, André Kirchner, MC le Roux, Jannes Lotter and Marco Olivier.
