Standerton’s TNT fighters shine despite tough Spring Fiesta bouts
Their next challenge is the Okt Fest Berg, which will take place in Alberton on October 3.
TNT Standerton fighters stepped into the ring at the Spring Fiesta tournament held at Apex South in Alberton on August 29, gaining valuable experience against tough opposition.
Kegan Pretorius was forced to face a senior opponent after no junior fighter could be found to take him on.
Despite dominating much of the bout, Pretorius narrowly missed out on victory when his opponent secured the win in the second round.
Ewald Engelbrecht faced his toughest opponent yet and delivered a dominant performance, securing a points victory through an impressive display of boxing skills.
He came close to ending the fight with a knockout in the second round. Juan Jacobs showed his determination after his original opponent withdrew from the event.

He agreed to take on a much more experienced fighter, but ultimately fell short due to his lack of experience.
Jayden Pretorius was also handed a major challenge, facing a considerably more experienced opponent who had a significant size advantage.
Pretorius boxed with determination throughout the bout and impressed the wider fighting community, despite narrowly losing on points.
Coach Thian van den Berg praised the fighters for their efforts and highlighted the importance of continuing to learn from every bout.
“Win or lose, we will get better and stronger each time we step in the ring,” said Van den Berg.
The TNT fighters will now turn their attention to their next challenge, the Okt Fest Berg, which will take place in Alberton on October 3.
