The well-known South African blues singer and songwriter, Gerald Clark, teamed up with the legendary blues guitar player from Prague, Jiri Marsicek, and are currently on tour through South Africa up until October.
These two passionate artists showcased Marsicek’s rare skills and Clark’s ability to fuse country, soul and blues with an African twist at the Sinkshack in Bronkhorstspruit on Thursday, September 23.

As the former lead singer of South African blues band Delta Blue, Clark has been a solid presence on the South African live music scene starting with their first gig in 1997.
Since going solo a few years later, there have been numerous excursions with South African legends such as Albert Frost, Dan Patlansky, Koos Kombuis, Theo Crous, Luna Paige and Van Coke Kartel, as well as local and international tours.
From Cape Town, South Africa to Trebic, Czech Republic, he has performed on stage with the best artists.

Clark, who currently resides in the Czech Republic, released Elderflowers at a workshop for musicians in Prague in 2019. The music video also happens to be a proudly South African production by Konrad Raubenheimer and Danielle McDonald.
“It was my first song written abroad about the simplicity of love and the bliss of lovers. One of those that was written in a few minutes ”He is now working on a new album which he plans to record and release this year.
