“Education creates a future”

Cullinan Diamond Mine (“CDM”) hosted the Annual Department of Education Gauteng North District Matric Awards on Friday 11 February 2022.

The awards ceremony took place at the Cullinan Centenary Sports Centre.

The Class of 2021 were honored and celebrated for excellent results despite being the class that endured two years of interrupted studies due to the Covi-19 pandemic.

CDM’s top scholarship learner, Raymond Mamabolo from Chipa-Tabane Secondary School, was rewarded with the CDM Top Achiever Blue Diamond Award during the ceremony.

“Education is not only the government’s responsibility alone, and by partnering with the private sector we can change the impact of education in our communities” said the acting general manager of Cullinan Diamond Mine, Cyril Dakada.
