How to stick to your New Year’s resolutions

While some people try to keep to their new year’s resolutions at least for a month or two, others do not even bother to set any new year’s resolutions.

Each end of each year, people set new year’s resolutions and the most common resolutions are to eat healthier and to exercise.

The gyms are usually packed the first month or two of each new year before it begins to see fewer eager exercise enthusiasts as they fade with their new year’s resolutions.

While some people try to keep to their new year’s resolutions at least for a month or two, others do not even bother to set any new year’s resolutions.

The beginning of a new year is also a time when many people make changes like seeking a new career path or moving into a new house or even to another country.

Other new year’s resolutions are to meet new people, to become more active, to become more confident and take a chance at new things, to earn and save more money, to chase your dreams, to be more successful in the workplace, to learn to be happier and to reduce stress.

For others, it is to quit smoking or buy that car or motorcycle you always wanted or to study further and improve your skills.

In order to keep to your new year’s resolutions, begin small by making resolutions that you would be able to stick to and be realistic when you set your goals for the new year.

Change your behaviour or habits over time, it took time to develop those habits.

Share your experiences with family and friends so that they can support and encourage you.

Make a timeline for yourself and set goals on when you want to achieve what in your life.

Make notes on your timeline so that you can have a physical reminder of what you are aiming for.

You can even have photos of that motorcycle or car you are saving for or that dream cruise holiday you are planning on taking in the new year.

Reward yourself when you manage to keep to your new year’s resolutions and do not give up.
