Walters-Gerout and Gray claim Sasol bowls women’s pairs title in Secunda

Ten teams battled it out over two days at the Sasol Recreational Club.

The Sasol Bowling Club Women’s Pairs competition took place at the Sasol Recreational Club from June 6 to 7, with 10 teams competing for top honours.

Teams contested three round-robin, strength-against-strength matches on June 6, before returning on June 7 for the fourth round-robin fixture.

The competition concluded with the finals on the afternoon of June 7.

Gwyneth Walters-Gerout and Elize Gray emerged as champions after defeating Erika Ferreira and Petro Prinsloo 17-13 in the final.

Ferreira and Prinsloo finished as runners-up following a strong performance throughout the tournament.

Marina van Vuuren and Linda Raath secured third place after defeating Marie Walters-Gerout and Annalene Jonker 25-3 in the playoff.
