Triple Threat Dojo hosts women’s boot camp
Women came together in Ruimsig for a challenging fitness bootcamp that promoted empowerment, community spirit and giving back.
Triple Threat Dojo, in collaboration with the Phoenix Initiative, hosted a women-only fitness event to celebrate women on August 8.
According to Triple Threat Dojo coach Wade Rendall, the event aimed to promote women’s participation in combat sports and highlight how the discipline can help women build confidence, strength and self-worth.
“The 90-minute bootcamp challenged participants physically while creating an encouraging environment where women motivated one another throughout the session,” he said.
Coach Rambo, also known as Rachelle Seyfferdt, guided the participants through the exercises, correcting their techniques and providing assistance where needed.
“The event also included a clothing donation drive, which resulted in 10 large bags of clothing being collected,” Rendall added.
“The donations included good quality and stylish clothing that could be given to women who need support.”
The donated clothing was taken to Pretoria, where women involved in the Phoenix Initiative gathered to sort the items. The clothing will be distributed to shelters across Gauteng that provide accommodation and support to women.
