Watch: Karateka take over Swan Circle Park

When Sensei Wendy Wannenburg set a formidable challenge for karateka, dojos from across Johannesburg stepped up to the challenge.

More than 100 karateka descended on Swan Circle Park on August 15, each bent on fulfilling the task at hand: performing 100 Katas.

Horizon Karate Centre sensei Wendy Wannenburg explained that the day presented a personal challenge to each karateka, serving as a lesson that not everything is about medals and accolades, but rather about developing the personal strength to overcome obstacles and grow.
