West Rand Sporting Football Development celebrated its 10th anniversary in style with an invitational tournament featuring several local football clubs as well as clubs as far afield as Johannesburg South.
According to head coach Lyle Eastwood, the club has had thousands of youths through its ranks over the past 10 years.
“It is a privilege to have played a part in the development of these young people, and we are determined to play an even more prominent role in the development of youth in the future,” he says.

Eastwood says there are big developments in the pipeline which are bound to see West Rand Sporting reaching even bigger heights.
“Plans include the establishment of a high-performance training academy in collaboration with Florida Social Club, and much more.”
The day was an overwhelming success, with supporters chanting loudly from the sidelines as their teams played their hearts out on the field.
