Degree Choice. National. What degree / course will you be studying?
LLB |
Reason for Degree. National. Why did you choose this particular course?
I have always had an interest in law- particularly human rights and international law. I believe that a major reform has to be made in global justice systems and the way in which countries run their government and regulate their citizens. Too often, people are exploited and neglected by the authorities who are put in positions to protect those in need of protection and work for the common good. It is my desire to be one of many who strive to make a poetic impact in the lives of those who can not do so on their own. |

Interests
Interests. What are your interests and hobbies?
I am passionate about netball and volleyball. They are both interests and hobbies that I enjoy participating in on any given day. My strength is writing- I spend my free time mostly composing pieces that I someday hope to publish ; and of course reading. An additional hobby of mine is singing. |
Inspiration. Who inspires you most? Why?
My inspiration is deeply rooted in my culture and race- the tapestry of who I am. Every black woman inspires me to reach beyond what I think my capabilities are. I find it so beautiful to witness the resiliency and strength of a black woman who strives to produce excellence and does so exceedingly against all odds, even those that people tend to be ignorant of, but actually truly exist. My inspiration therefore lies in the road that has been paved for me by every black woman before me, because I know that without them, I wouldn’t be in the position I find myself in today. So I chose to continue their delicate legacy. |
