Best of the West Day 2 wraps up
High energy and competitive spirit define Day 2 as teams deliver standout performances across codes.
Day two of the Best of the West Festival reached new heights at Krugersdorp High School on April 4, with teams delivering high-intensity performances across all fixtures.

With momentum and pride at stake, the action unfolded in thrilling fashion, featuring dominant wins, closely fought encounters and standout individual displays. As the tournament progresses, frontrunners are beginning to emerge while other teams continue to find their rhythm.

KHS opened the day in commanding style, securing a 32–0 victory over Girls Invitational in the first rugby fixture.

In the afternoon, Hoërskool Roodepoort defeated Kyle College 45–29, while Westgold Primary cruised to a 53–0 win against Laerskool Florida.

In hockey, Rustenburg claimed a 3–1 victory over Gateway in the opening match.
Rustenburg U16 continued their strong form, beating Monnas U16 4–2.
Gateway later regrouped, playing to a spirited 2–2 draw against Sutherlands in the afternoon fixture.

More fixtures are set to follow, with KHS scheduled to face Bekker later this afternoon. In the final match of the day, Noordheuwel will take on Jeppe at 18:35.
