Roodepoort resident wins quarterfinals of the Dis-Chem Brain of 702

Hennie du Plessis from Roodepoort proved to be the cleverest of them all when he won the second quarterfinals of the Dis-Chem Brain of 702.

His victory followed a nail-biting sudden death round with two other contestants.

The quarterfinals were hosted at The Glen and Du Plessis, who won R5000 gained access to the competition through the wildcard round.

The mall activation proved exciting for spectators, players and the judges as they watched the three remaining contestants battling it out on the sudden death round.

The radio station’s traffic presenter Aki Anastasiou was the on-air master of ceremony of the day while Aubrey Masango and Sam Cowen were the overall judges.

Du Plessis along with five other contestants, were given 90 seconds to answer a train of 25 questions from quizmaster Stephen Grootes, 702’s host of The Midday Report on 702 and CapeTalk.
