On 28 February and 1 March 15 equestrian riders from Maragon Private School competed in the first qualifier at Maple Ridge Equestrian Farm.
The riders ranged in age from Grade R to Grade 7 pupils. According to the school’s spokesperson, Belinda Espag the school’s riders are currently ranked third in Gauteng.
“The riders did exceptionally well and behaved in true Maragon fashion,” said Espag.
One of the stars of the day were Charnay Bean on her horse Boxer. Charnay came first in Hand Utility level three, first in Extreme Equitation (60 cm) level one, second in Equitation (50cm) level two and second in Show Jumping (70cm) Ideal Time level three.
