Breaking News: Witpoortjie cell phone store just robbed

Everything happened so fast, says car guard.

About an hour ago JP Store in Witpoortjie was targeted by armed robbers.

According to Gabor Beres, a car guard who witnessed the robbery, the suspects moved with stealth and speed and the crime was committed within seconds.

Beres told the Record three suspects, whom he believes are in their early twenties, entered the cell phone store and in less than a minute came storming out brandishing firearms and carrying computer screens and a substantial amount of cell phones.

He said they fled in an old red Fiat Uno with a black bonnet. One of the suspects was wearing a cap.

The shop was locked while the Roodepoort Police were investigating the scene.

No one was injured during the incident.
