Places you can renew your vehicle registration disk

Residents can renew their vehicle registrations at the South African Post Office in the area. Here is a list of areas in which post offices provide registration renewals:

• Honeydew (011 795 2812)
• Weltevreden Park (011 475 0433)
• Roodepoort CBD (011 763 5444)
• Amorosa (011 958 1438)

The post office is open from 8.30am to 4.30pm on Mondays, Tuesday, Thursdays and Fridays. On Wednesdays, operational times are from 9am to 4.30pm and on Saturdays from 8am until 12am.

To renew your registration you need to fill out an application for licensing of vehicle (ALV) form, provide proof of residence in the form of a Telkom account or utility bill among others, and a certified copy of your identity document. The registration fee is based on the type of car.
