Honeydew Police station closed for decontamination

According to Facebook post from the Honeydew CPF, the station is closed after a member tested positive for Covid-19.

Community members were informed via a Facebook post on the Honeydew Community Policing Forum’s (CPF) page that the Honeydew Police station was closed on the evening of 4 June.

The post, written by the CPF chairperson, Obert Mlauzi,read,”The Honeydew Police station is temporary closed for the next 12 hours due to a police official testing positive for Covid-19. Crime prevention and complaints vehicles are still available but the Client Service Centre (CSC) and other services are not available at the station due to this challenge. All required revolutionary measures are being taken and required sanitation processes are being followed”

The community was encouraged to report all crime related matters by phoning 10111 or to their nearest neighbouring Police stations. .

The post concluded by apologising for any inconvenience caused by the unforeseen event.

The station should be operational again by Saturday, 6 June.
