Roodepoort/ Krugersdorp SPCA closed until further notice

In a post on their Facebook page today, 2 July, the community was informed that the organisation had to close until further notice.

The number of Covid-19 cases is rapidly increasing, affecting more and more people and businesses. The latest organisation being affected is the Roodepoort/ Krugersdorp SPCA.

In a post on their Facebook page today, 2 July, the community was informed that the organisation had to close until further notice. “The Roodepoort/ Krugersdorp SPCA, including the hospital, is closed due to possibly being exposed to Covid-19. The safety of the public and SPCA staff is very important to us,” the post read.

The post further said that all adoptions were on hold. Community members were urged to email all animal cruelty complaints to manager@rdptspca.co.za, and added, “A member of staff is on duty at the SPCA 24 hours a day to accept any stray or unwanted animals”.

For emergencies only, contact the SPCA on 076 070 1400.
