The Roodepoort Northsider website is moving

This means that readers will no longer have to navigate between two websites to satisfy their news cravings, as all of their Roodepoort-related news will be on one site.

From Monday, 6 July, the Roodepoort Northsider and Roodeport Record websites will be offering something bigger and more exciting, as the two sites will be merged into one.

This means that readers will no longer have to navigate between two websites to satisfy their news cravings, as all of their Roodepoort-related news will be on one site.

To prevent confusion, or readers having to search for their favourite newspaper, the name of the website will not change.

All the stories will be available on www.roodepoortrecord.co.za.

For our Facebook followers, there is also good news; you would not be required to go and ‘like’ the Roodepoort Record page, as the two pages will also be merged, resulting in our Northside readers automatically being added to that page.

Unfortunately, the Twitter accounts do not offer the same convenience, and to ensure you do not miss out on any community news, you will be required to go and follow the Record account (@rdptrecord).

We would like to assure our loyal readers that, even though you will now be able to read all your online news on one site, this will not be affecting the actual newspapers. Readers can still look forward to receiving their Roodepoort Northsider in their post boxes every Thursday.

At Caxton, we employ humans to generate daily fresh news, not AI intervention. Happy reading!
