Wise words from fashion and beauty experts

Among them is their popular weekly Entrepreneurs Workshop that Hirsch's Executive Director Margaret Hirsch hosts with Business Coach, Marlene Powell and a panel of experts in their fields.

Over the last few months, Hirsch’s Strubens Valley has been putting together useful and informative Zoom sessions for all the communities in which they operate.

Among them is their popular weekly Entrepreneurs Workshop that Hirsch’s Executive Director Margaret Hirsch hosts with Business Coach, Marlene Powell and a panel of experts in their fields.

Another highlight is the well-attended Kitchen Capers events with guest chefs from around the country putting together some mouth-watering dishes. Margaret put together a team of panellists to discuss the latest trends in fashion and beauty to help boost these industries, and give the audience some wonderful ideas.

Guest speakers included the iconic beauty therapist Jennifer Eales whose top take-home advice was “stick to one product range to get the most effective results”.  “The look for summer this year was colourful and feminine with soft fabrics, ruffles and high-necked tops,” said Arlene Moodley from the KZN Fashion Council.

Sarah Swainson, the founder and owner of Sarah Elizabeth Lingerie explained that you can’t put on an outfit and expect it to look great if you don’t have the right foundation garment. She said that selling bras online was becoming the way to go as assessments can be done with almost 100 per cent accuracy.

Members of the community who would like to attend one of the many informative and free virtual workshops with Hirsch’s can contact shane@hirschs.co.za for more information.
