Child Protection Hotlines launched for Roodepoort, Honeydew and Zandspruit
All Child Protection Hotlines are available to assist 24 hours a day, seven days a week including public holidays.
The Child Protection Hotline has extended its reach when the Roodepoort, Honeydew and Zandspruit Child Protection Hotlines were launched at Honeydew Village Shopping Centre recently.
For over 11 years Child Protection Hotline’s passion has been to contribute positively to the lives of children.
Since the launch of their first Child Protection Hotline in 2010, that passion has been redefined to focus on child protection.
According to founder Danie van Loggerenberg, when the first Child Protection Hotline was launched in Centurion, Roodepoort, Honeydew and Zandspruit were already on the list as individual areas where they wanted to be of assistance.
“We have some amazing memories of various projects in all three areas over the last 11 years. “All of this is made possible by our partners. Thank you King Price Insurance, Pasta Polana South Africa, Barter McKellar, and Top Score Instant Porridge SA,” said Danie.
The launch was attended by Sergeant Mamasedi May and her team from Honeydew Police, while Sasha Taylor who is one of the Child Protection Hotline ambassadors was also present.
“The Child Protection Hotlines have been a success countrywide as we believe we speak to the children on platforms where they are comfortable. “We invite anyone who knows about or suspects child abuse to contact our Child Protection Hotlines by phone, WhatsApp or SMS. Together we can make sure our children are safe,” said Danie.
All Child Protection Hotlines are available to assist 24 hours a day, seven days a week including public holidays.
