Welties Lights House acknowledged by CANSA
Gareth told the Northsider that this past December would go down in his books as one of the most unforgettable Christmas lights displays at their house.
To mark the end of a generous 2021 festive season, Thursday, January 13 saw the Christmas Lights House Weltevreden Park owners Gareth his wife Trudi Lingens welcome a special visitor from Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA).
After raising funds during the festive season, the Christmas Lights House Weltevreden Park paid over R40 300 to CANSA in support of the good work the organisation is doing.

Lucy Balona, CANSA spokesperson paid a special visit to the popular house at 44 Biesie Avenue on behalf of CANSA to hand over a certificate of acknowledgment for their donation.
“Once again the overwhelming generosity of our community and the general public has made the donation of R40 300 possible.
“We could not have done it without every single person’s contribution to CANSA during the month of December.
“We want to thank everyone who came out to bring a donation and see the lights,” said Gareth.
Gareth told the Northsider that this past December would go down in his books as one of the most unforgettable Christmas lights displays at their house.
“We will not forget the amazing talent we were able to showcase. We want to thank Thammy Ndlovu, Adrian and Emma-Jean Music, our 14-year-old bagpiper Aurryn Gaertz, and the Salvation Army for bringing so much extra Christmas cheer to our display.

“We are so grateful that they shared their talent with us and in the process ensured an absolutely magical time for people to create the most amazing and unforgettable memories.
“Thank you once again to all of you for your support; we look forward to bringing you an even better display later this year. Until then, be the light in the world around you,” said Gareth.
