Honeydew CPF warns of possible shutdowns tomorrow

As the situation develops, residents are urged to remain vigilant and prioritise safety while authorities closely monitor events.

The Honeydew CPF has issued a warning to residents about potential protest action and shutdowns expected tomorrow, April 4.

The advisory follows widespread social media messages about planned protests in various parts of Johannesburg.

While the exact locations of these protests remain unconfirmed, the CPF assured residents that the police and other law enforcement agencies are monitoring the situation and are prepared to respond if necessary.

Michael Steyn public relations officer for the Honeydew CPF urged residents to avoid spreading unverified information.

“We understand that many people are concerned, but sharing unconfirmed reports can cause unnecessary panic and divert law enforcement resources from real threats,” Steyn said. “We are working closely with the police and other security agencies to ensure the safety of our community and will provide verified updates as needed.”

Authorities have also advised motorists and commuters to avoid affected areas and use alternative routes for their safety. The CPF will provide live updates via its WhatsApp channel, which residents can join for real-time information.
