Meek case postponed for plea proceedings

Tiffany Nicole Meek is accused of killing her son Jayden-Lee at their Fleurhof flat.

The case of murder accused Tiffany Nicole Meek (32) has been postponed to March 25 for plea proceedings.

Meek appeared in the Johannesburg High Court today, March 10, which is currently sitting at the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court.

According to a statement shared with the Roodepoort Record by the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), the postponement follows an approach by the defence to the state indicating that Meek intends to plead guilty to some of the charges.

Meek is accused of murdering her son, Jayden-Lee Meek, whom she reported missing in May 2025.

Jayden’s lifeless body was discovered the following morning next to a stairway in the complex where they lived.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the child had returned from school and was allegedly killed inside the flat.

It is further alleged that the accused staged the scene in an attempt to mislead authorities.
