Golden Tiger Realtors opens new Strubens Valley branch
A property franchise is tackling gender inequality in business by opening doors for women entrepreneurs in Johannesburg.
Golden Tiger Realtors has expanded its presence on the West Rand with the opening of a new branch in Strubens Valley on Saturday, October 3, marking a milestone for branch owner Lovashni Callakoppen.
The launch brought together family, friends and members of the Golden Tiger Realtors franchise as Callakoppen officially began the next chapter of her business journey.
For Callakoppen, the new franchise is an opportunity to empower women who may need support finding their voice, building confidence or taking their first step into business. “This franchise means a lot to me. It’s the next big thing for me,” said Callakoppen.

She said she hopes to use her position to support women who struggle to stand up for themselves, as well as aspiring businesswomen who are unsure of where to begin. “I want to be that voice of reasoning for the women, the businesswomen, the women that want to get started and don’t know where to get started,” she said.

A women-led vision
Women’s empowerment was also strongly highlighted by Aladia Moodley, the CEO of Golden Tiger Realtors Group, who officially welcomed Callakoppen into what Golden Tiger Realtors calls its “Tigertude” — a culture built around strength, courage, unity, leadership and the determination to rise above challenges. “For us as Golden Tiger Realtors, we are all about women empowerment and lifting as you rise,” said Moodley.
As a women-led organisation, Golden Tiger Realtors is increasingly focused on creating opportunities for women to become business owners, leaders and entrepreneurs rather than remaining employees.
Moodley believes that access to opportunity can be life-changing, particularly for women who may have the ambition to start a business but do not know where to begin.

This vision extends to Golden Tiger Realtors’ free franchise opportunities, which aim to create pathways for aspiring entrepreneurs to enter the property industry and build their own businesses with the backing of an established real estate brand.
The initiative forms part of a broader commitment to creating opportunities for people to learn, earn, lead and build, while encouraging women to become financially independent and confident in their ability to create a future of their own.
For Moodley, empowerment is not about reaching the top alone. “Lifting as you rise” is a principle she continues to emphasise — creating an environment where women who have found their footing can reach back and help another woman take her first step.
Moodley described the Strubens Valley opening as another important step in the company’s West Rand expansion and encouraged Callakoppen to make the new branch her own. “It’s a new opportunity, it’s your territory, you must own it,” she said.

Building through unity and strength
For Callakoppen, the values behind the new branch are closely linked to family, unity and strength. She thanked those who attended the launch and acknowledged her parents, who she said were part of the occasion in spirit, as well as her family for their support. “I’m so happy that I have a bigger family,” she said, adding that her family is about family and about unity and strength.
Callakoppen believes that unity will remain important as she continues building the branch and supporting other women along the way. “With unity, you can only go forward. There’s no turning back. There’s no going backwards,” she said.
The Strubens Valley branch adds another footprint for Golden Tiger Realtors in the West Rand, while giving Callakoppen a platform to grow her business and pursue her vision of encouraging more women to take their first steps into entrepreneurship.
Her journey reflects the wider vision of Golden Tiger Realtors Group: to create opportunities, empower people and build businesses that can leave a lasting legacy.
As Callakoppen looks ahead, she remains excited about what lies ahead. “I look forward to the rest of my journey and a lot more with you,” she said.
