Body found in drainage area
A lifeless body was discovered near the intersection of Hendrik Potgieter and Nic Diederichs Road.
A grim discovery was made this morning, November 7 when a resident spotted a body lying in a drainage area next to the road near the intersection of Hendrik Potgieter and Nic Diederichs Road.
According to BCI Security operations manager Dawid Britz, at about 11:45, the Honeydew Police Station received an urgent call from ADT Security, who had been alerted by the individual walking to work who discovered the body. The police then proceeded promptly and requested medical personnel to confirm the status of the individual.
Response teams, including BCI Security, ADT Security, and ER24, arrived on the scene, and upon assessment, ER24 declared the person dead.
An investigation is underway, and residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to their nearest police station or local security companies.
