Discovery Community Forum gives back to the community

Discovery Community Forum went all out to give back to the community by hosting a trick-or-treat event.

A trick-or-treating event hosted by Discovery Community Forum (DCF) on November 11 saw all round excitement and anticipation in the spirit of giving back to the community.

The forum, established in 2000, is responsible for maintaining a community spirit in the neighborhood by organising events like pensioners’ teas, family fun days as well as trick-or-treat events for the youngsters.

The Trick or Treat was its 14th event, which attracted around 120 people. Members assisted with face painting, decorated houses, and created a horror show and after the event, party packs were distributed at the Discovery Scout Hall.

“Our thanks go out to the police, EC Security and Help24, for escorting our 30-vehicle-long convoy throughout the area. Beyond this all our committee members and members of the public that assisted in the safety en route and the safety of our young ones,” John Gafney, DCF vice-chairperson said.
