Greylings claim double gold in Mpumalanga
A shared passion for clay target shooting paid off for one couple, who returned from Mpumalanga with two victories to their names.
It was a successful Women’s Day weekend for Amelda and Faan Greyling, who both claimed first-place finishes at a clay target shooting championship.
The Association of South Africa (CTSASA) Mpumalanga Fédération Internationale de Tir aux Sportives de Chasse (FITASC) Sporting Championship took place at the Sabie Clay Pigeon Club on August 8 and 9, with the Greylings among the shooters competing at the event.
Amelda took first place in the ladies’ class after putting in a strong performance. Husband Faan also finished first in his class, scoring 176 out of 200.

The results gave the couple plenty to celebrate as they both returned home with victories from the same competition.
The CTSASA congratulated Amelda and Faan on their achievements, recognising their performances at the championship.

Winning the double victory made the weekend a memorable one for the couple as they continue to compete in clay target shooting championships.
