Trinityhouse swimmer makes big splash at SA champs

Ryan Botha secured six gold medals at the SA Swim Gala.

Little Falls — A talented swimmer from Trinityhouse Little Falls has made his mark in the swimming world by representing Gauteng in the prestigious South African Schools Swimming Gala held in Bloemfontein earlier in April.

Like most young and upcoming swimmers, Ryan Botha had one thing on his mind, which was to leave a mark as one of the top performers. His impressive performance earned him six gold medals.

He won gold in both the 50m and 100m freestyle events, which demonstrated his speed and agility in the water.

Additionally, he was part of the Gauteng teams that claimed gold in the 4x50m freestyle relay, 4x50m medley relay, 4x100m freestyle relay, and 4x100m medley relay, all in the U14 and U15 age groups.

Ryan’s outstanding achievements played a crucial role in the overall victory of the tournament. The team emerged as the top performers, proving that Gauteng does indeed produce swimming excellence.
