Life Wilgeheuwel offers a step towards wellness

Making Life Better Day encouraged free screening for the community's well-being.

Life Wilgeheuwel Hospital came to life on Saturday, October 4, at their Making Life Better Day event, offering free health screenings, including blood pressure, glucose, and cholesterol testing for the community and staff.

According to marketing and communications manager Natasha Griffin, the event was further supported by a team of resident allied professionals, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and radiologists who generously offered expert advice and live demonstrations.

The atmosphere was lively, and despite the gloomy weather, Life Wilgeheuwel remained committed to wellness and setting a strong precedent for what is set to become a recurring event.

“The day was aligned to our national marketing campaign, which focuses on promoting healthy living and getting screened. The day was intended to encourage the community to put their best foot forward towards making healthier lifestyle choices, and what better way than to start by getting their health checks done,” Natasha says.
