Take a spooky train ride with Rand Society

The Rand Society of Model Engineers have invited residents to enjoy a spooky train celebration on October 31.

The Rand Society of Model Engineers invites the community to join them for a fun-filled Halloween-themed train extravaganza at Len Rutter Park on Friday, October 31.

According to committee member Shane Maitland, there will be lots to see and do for young and old.

“We are planning an evening full of entertainment for the whole family,” he says.

“The tuck shop will be fully stocked with snacks and cold drinks, and our trains, departing from Woodside Station, will be out in force.”

Gates open at 16:00 till 22:00. The festivities will even feature a spooky tunnel.

Entrance costs R20 and includes one train ride.

“Additional train tickets cost R10, and all funds generated go toward the upkeep of the Woodside Station’s grounds and trains,” adds Shane.
