Help Honeydew CPF spread joy this Christmas

Your small gift could bring the biggest smile to the faces of those in need this festive season. The collection drive will take place this Saturday, November 15.

The Honeydew CPF is calling on residents to support its annual Toy Run and biscuit collection drive by donating 1kg packs of Bakers Choice Assorted Biscuits or making cash contributions, as Christmas is fast approaching.

The initiative aims to bring festive joy to the elderly and underprivileged members of the community, and the collection drive will take place this Saturday, November 15, from 09:00 to 11:00.

Three collection points, namely, BP Palm Court on JG Strydom Road, BP Radiokop on John Voster Road, and BP Boskruin on President Fouché Road, will be open for drop-offs on the day. CPF patrollers will be on-site to receive donations and also personally thank residents for their support.

Michael Steyn, the Honeydew CPF public relations officer, said the event continues to highlight the community’s spirit of generosity.

“Last year’s Toy Run was an incredible success thanks to the amazing support from our community. This year, we’re hoping to make an even bigger impact, and we need everyone’s help to do it,” he said.

Those who cannot drop off the biscuits in person can make a direct contribution to the Honeydew CPF’s account using their banking details: Nedbank Northgate, account number: 1514210673, branch code: 169805. Donors are asked to use “TOY RUN” as a reference to ensure the funds are correctly allocated.

The Toy Run unites residents to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives each year and has become a much-loved local tradition.

The CPF also expressed its gratitude to those who continuously help keep the festive spirit alive in the community by supporting the initiative.
