An NPO continues to restore communities through clean-up campaigns.

A community-driven environmental initiative led by the Soulbent Project made an impact in the river running through Honeydew and Zandspruit on Wednesday, March 25.

According to the project’s CEO, Mashudu Makhado, volunteers came together to carry out a large-scale clean-up campaign aimed at restoring the area’s cleanliness and dignity.

“We are encouraged by the commitment shown by our volunteers, who continue to step forward and make a real difference. Despite daily challenges, our teams remain focused on restoring dignity to public spaces and protecting the environment,” he added.

The clean-up highlights the importance of shared responsibility in maintaining clean surroundings. Speaking after the clean-up, Makhado praised the dedication of the volunteers, emphasising that meaningful change begins with individual and collective action.
