Learners enjoy colour run at Laerskool Die Ruiter

Teachers and learners were painted in a kaleidoscope of colours at Laerskool Die Ruiter's annual event.

Learners and teachers from Laerskool Die Ruiter were covered from head to toe in a variety of colours during the school’s annual colour run held on March 20.

The summer sky was filled with explosions of colour, ensuring everyone had a touch of blue, pink, yellow and green on them.

To ensure that the day was even more fun, the event included an exciting obstacle course that learners had to undergo while being showered with vibrant colour powders.

Additional activities such as a bubble machine, slip ‘n slide, hula hoops, ball toss, etc, also added a layer of fun to the day.

According to the organiser of the event, Shantelle de Klerk, the colour run has been a long-standing tradition at the school for many years.

“The games not only focus on fun, but we are also instilling team building, hand co-ordination, friendly competition and learning while having fun,” she said

The day also had a flea market and a tuck-shop selling a variety of foods where everyone could purchase something, be it sweets, boerewors roll, cold drinks, or mini toys.
