Panorama clean-up team receives new tools

The team can now cover and maintain even bigger areas that would normally take longer to clear.

The Panorama Residents Association’s (PRA) clean-up team, known as Panorama@Work, received two new professional brush cutters, bringing the total number of machinery at their disposal to five.

The team carries out clean-up operations regularly, focusing on areas that have overgrown grass and unmaintained open spaces to ensure safety, visibility, and accessibility. This includes intersections, streets, and fields that require attention.

According to the PRA’s deputy chairperson, Michael Steyn, they were able to source the two additional machines with the help of Honeydew Lawnmowers. He added that the upgrade allows the team to speed up their operations and allows them to complete their work in the streets more efficiently.

Michael added that the new tools have already helped the team cover more ground.

“With the extra brush cutters, we were able to cut the full length of 9th Avenue, including the two corner properties we maintain there. We also cleared the intersection of Lemoendoring and Sewetjie, and started work on the field in Rooisering Street that we service twice a year,” he said.

Steyn said the team’s work depends on support from residents.

“None of this would be possible without our residents, through their annual renewals and by recommending us to their neighbours,” he said. Support received by the association from its members contributes directly to the continuation of these maintenance operations.
