Westridge High School held their annual Mr and Miss Westridge pageant on April 30.

The event was a great success and showcased the confidence, talent, leadership, and school spirit of Westridge learners.

According to marketer Varene Wilson-Hammond, the pageant consisted of both junior and senior categories, with contestants participating in different segments, including casual wear, school uniform wear, and evening wear.

“The contestants impressed the audience and judges with their confidence, presentation, and enthusiasm throughout the event,” she says.

“The top five finalists in each category were then asked questions by the judges, allowing them to express themselves, share their goals, and demonstrate their communication skills and character.”

Wilson-Hammond adds that the purpose of hosting the Mr and Miss Westridge pageant was to encourage self-confidence, leadership, discipline, and pride within learners while creating a positive platform for them to showcase their individuality and talents.

“We hope that this year’s title holders will represent the school with pride, be positive role models to their peers, and continue to inspire other learners through their leadership, confidence, and dedication.”
