Panorama Primary warms hearts and feet
Panorama learners restore hope and dignity through their Winter Socks Drive.
In a heartwarming display of compassion and community spirit, Panorama Primary School hosted a Winter Sock Drive on Wednesday, June 3, to support those in need during the colder months.

According to Panorama Grade One teacher Kayla Lassen, the initiative encouraged learners, parents, and staff members to donate new socks, helping to provide warmth and comfort to vulnerable individuals in the local community. Over the course of the campaign, the school community came together enthusiastically, collecting a generous number of socks for donation.

The school introduced a donation competition among their learners in different grades to encourage them to participate and also show love to the less fortunate individuals in the community.
The donated socks were presented to a local foundation, which will distribute them to individuals and families facing hardship this winter. The drive forms part of Panorama Primary School’s ongoing commitment to teaching learners the importance of kindness, generosity, and social responsibility.

Kayla expressed their gratitude to everyone who contributed to the initiative.
“We are incredibly proud of our learners and families for supporting this worthy cause. Small acts of kindness can make a significant difference in the lives of others, especially during winter,” she said.
The Winter Sock Drive not only provided practical assistance to those in need but also reinforced valuable lessons about empathy and community service among the learners.
Goshen House Foundation founder Pastor Theo Nzama thanked all involved parties and encouraged learners to continue showing less privileged individuals through such initiatives. Panorama will host another donation drive in July, distributing non permissible good such as canned products.
