Jude Stewart remembered with love
He may be gone, but his legacy of love, kindness, and caring for others continues to live in the hearts of those he has touched.
The school community at Trinityhouse Little Falls is mourning the loss of one of its former learners, Jude Stewart, who sadly passed away on Thursday, February 19, at 15 years old.
Having been part of the school for nine years, Jude is remembered for his kindness, humility, and warm nature. Speaking on behalf of the school, the senior deputy principal, Riaan Smit, shared how deeply Jude touched those around him.
“Jude was known for his impeccable manners, his humble spirit, and his wonderful sense of humour,” Smit said. “He was a gentle giant – strong in stature but kind and tender at heart.”
Smit also expressed that Jude had a way of making people feel welcome and valued. His smile and positive attitude left a lasting impression on both learners and teachers, and he carried himself with quiet confidence.
Sport was an important part of Jude’s life.
“He loved being active, with his biggest passion being rugby, where he embraced the tradition, culture, and camaraderie of the game. He also enjoyed soccer and swimming, showing both discipline and joy in every challenge he took on.”
“On the field and in the pool, he encouraged his teammates, motivated his peers, and celebrated every small achievement, always leaving a mark through his sportsmanship and dedication,” said Smit.

Even after leaving Trinityhouse, Jude stayed connected to the school.
“He would come back to greet staff and learners, send his regards, and check in on everyone,” Smit said. This showed his loyalty and genuine care for others.
Jude’s life leaves behind a legacy of kindness, courage, and joy. He reminded those around him to care for one another, to face challenges bravely, and to appreciate the small moments in life.
“Our heartfelt thoughts are with his family – his father, Lesley, his mother, Chantál, and his brother Noah during this difficult time. Jude will always be remembered with love and affection for the remarkable young man he was, both in the classroom and in his sports pursuits.”
