Curro celebrates 100th day of school the “old” way

The little ones were pensioners for a day, creating lasting memories with their friends and schoolmates.

Learners in the foundation phase at Curro Wilgeheuwel celebrated their 100th day of school with a fun-filled “Dress as an Old Person” day.

From Grade R to Grade Three, learners arrived dressed as grandparents, complete with grey hair, spectacles, walking sticks and colourful outfits.

The celebration was part of the foundation phase’s Whacky Week, which encourages learners to have fun while participating in the various themed activities.

The learners’ creative costumes brought laughter and smiles to them as they proudly displayed their outfits throughout the day while celebrating with friends and teachers.

Parents also contributed to the success of the day by helping bring the costume ideas that their children had in mind to life, adding more joy to the occasion as the school reflected on the progress the children had made so far in their academic journeys.
