Angels do walk the face of the earth

Karin Britz from Roodepoort writes:

For very many years now (since 1978) l have lived in Roodepoort and have been reading your newspaper.

It struck me this morning whilst reading the 9 November issue that just about every single “good news” story in your newspaper is about our citizens who have, out of their own, donated to some or other charity to help others. There is hardly ever a “good news” story which concerns our despicable government doing something good to help the same charities.

On that side of the coin it’s only corruption, laziness and uselessness that make it into the news.

Which leaves me thinking … what on earth would this world be like if it weren’t for these wonderful people out there helping out others and the animals? My prayers go out to them. May God bless each and everyone of them for their kindness, be it a business or private person, who has opened his/ her heart to some or other good cause.

At Caxton, we employ humans to generate daily fresh news, not AI intervention. Happy reading!
