Letter: Thank you for your kindness

Sonja Kairuz from Little Falls writes:

On behalf of the Pereira, Kairuz and Vlcek family I would like to convey our sincere gratitude for all the kindness shown to us as a family after the vicious assault on our mother, Rose and senseless killing of our dad, Lewis at their home in Little Falls on 3 August.

Your continued prayers, support and care have carried us during this extremely difficult time.

A special thank you goes out to Chris and Carina Rheeder who acted so swiftly and in doing so saved our Mother’s life, and to Apcan Security for responding immediately.

To the lady that we still don’t know who she is, who climbed into the ambulance and prayed.

To each and every neighbour who sent messages of condolences, offered help and showed the utmost kindness, thank you.

To those of you who lit candles, brought and placed flowers outside our home, what a lovely gesture, and thank you.

To the Honeydew Police, Captain Van Wyk, Warrant Officer Ngcobo and trauma councillor, Hanlee for reaching out to us, thank you.

To the paramedics and to the Life Flora Clinic doctors and nursing staff, thank you for the excellent care, kindness and compassion.

Thank you to the emergency staff, everyone in ICU and Ward F staff.

The community of Little Falls has shown itself to be unique, and each and every one of you has been a shining light to us during a very dark time.

Your thoughtfulness and kindness will forever be remembered and appreciated.

Our gratitude to all of you is immense, may God protect you and your families and keep you safe.
