Concerned Ruimsig pensioner writes: Alarming state of the WSNBG

Concerned pensioner from Ruimsig writes

It is quite alarming to see the state of the Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden (WSNBG) after a weekend.

Pizza boxes and empty cold drinks cans are all over the place, and not to mention the disgusting behaviour of some visitors to the market stalls at the Garden over the Easter weekend.

There were lovely food stalls and interesting items to buy, but unfortunately there are always people who either are ill-disciplined or simply have no pride in their surroundings, or they plainly have no upbringing.

In this case these individuals should stay away from places like the Botanical Garden.

There is a very visible sign at the entrance to the Garden that it’s a bin-free environment, and people should remove their refuse, but some people just naturally expect somebody else to pick up after them.
