‘Never gone from our hearts’

'You may be gone from our sight ... but you will never be gone from our hearts!'

As the pandemic rages on, the list of those lost to the coronavirus just continues to grow.

Rhona Schoeman from Roodepoort, who recently lost her mother, wrote this heartfelt tribute to her:

On Friday, July 2, Lynette ‘Nettie’ May, wife, mother, granny, sister and friend passed away at the age of 69.

Lyn will be forever remembered by her son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Julie, and their children Aidan and Callan, as well as by her daughter and son-in-law, Rhona and Colin, and their son Joshua, her beloved sister Gail, her nephew Shaun and his wife Teresa, and her sister-in-law Brenda.

Rest easy now Mommy … it would be so wrong to say you lost your battle as you never stopped fighting. You were given your wings so you could celebrate your 50th wedding anniversary with Daddy in the most special place – you are both walking with angels now!

You may be gone from our sight … but you will never be gone from our hearts!
