Maragon’s rugby dads and lads enjoy camp-out

They kicked the camp-out off with a skills-based rugby clinic.

Maragon Ruimsig Preparatory School’s ‘rugby dads and lads’ enjoyed some quality bonding time during the annual camp-out at the school on 15 February.

They kicked the afternoon off with a skills-based rugby clinic. The clinic included training such as Fijian touch rugby, ball-handling, rucking and sealing, stepping, and one-on-one attacking. All the training was carried out by Maragon’s very own coaching staff.

After the clinic, the dads and lads set up camp for the evening. And what is a camp-out without a braai? The dads, lads and coaches had a special time bonding and getting to know one another. The sudden change in weather didn’t even come close to putting a damper on the camp-out.

The event, which was a follow-on from the Netball Mom and Ladies Tea held the previous week, was very well attended by the parents.
