Randmark to run their own Comrades

'Everyone who completes our challenge will get a virtual certificate'.

Randmark Walk, Run and Cycle Club will have their own Comrades Virtual Run from 1 to 14 June 2020.

The follows the announcement by Athletics South Africa (ASA) after long discussions with the Comrades Marathon Association (CMA) Board and KwaZulu-Natal Athletics (KZNA), that the 20202 Ultimate Human Race has been cancelled.

According to Charlene Beukman, running representative for Randmark, anyone can join in and run 90,2km in 14 days, as long as it is done in that period.

“Everyone who completes our challenge will get a virtual certificate. We also have a cycle challenge from 1 to 14 June, where you need to ride 300km either on the road, on a spinning bike or on a mountain bike.

Our aim with these challenges is to keep everybody motivated during lockdown.”
