Exciting local midfielder makes professional debut

Ethan was again voted player of the tournament at the 2019 Grey Soccer Tournament in Bloemfontein.

Former Panorama Football Club player, Ethan Brooks was fortunate to be given an early introduction into his professional career when he made his debut in a Glad Africa Championship encounter against Cape Umoya on August 19.

TS Galaxy are currently using Panorama FC’s facilities as their home training grounds and played their first home match after lockdown on 12 August.

The-18-year old has travelled to Italy and later impressed at the 2018 Engen Knockout Challenge where he was selected as the player of the tournament.

“I am very happy to be living out my destiny. There were a lot of things on my mind when I went on to the field – I was very nervous and excited at the same time,” said Ethan.

According to Ethan, he felt a sense of pride because all he wanted to do was make his professional debut. “I always tell myself that I can do better, as the game of soccer has two halves full of opportunities.”

The young exciting midfielder’s journey began at Mondeor Meteors Football Club. He spent some time at the Jabez Football Academy before joining the Radiokop-based Panorama FC.

“Being a professional footballer is a prophecy being fulfilled as my parents would always remind me that this was destined for me,” said Ethan.

Ethan’s growth from a four-year-old soccer-loving boy to his professional debut at the age of 18 shows the dedication and desire in him, making him an example to other aspiring footballers in the country.
